Rachel Hodges, FNP is an East Tennessee native. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing where she was a University Honors Scholar.
She began her nursing career at Baptist West Hospital on the general medical-surgical unit where she was nominated by her peers as Best Novice nurse for the hospital. She was asked to help open the Heart/Stroke Center at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was selected by her peers as the 2007 RN Clinical Nurse Excellence Award winner for the Heart/Stroke Unit. She became a clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students while she worked her way through graduate school.
Rachel graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Tennessee in 2008. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau –honors nursing society. She is a clinical preceptor for the University of Tennessee Family Nurse Practitioner program. She is currently working to complete her Fellowship in functional and Nutritional Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Rachel began her Nurse Practitioner career working with Dr. Joe Browder where she honed her Nurse Practitioner skills. She was hired by Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic (TOC) in 2013 to launch and run their after-hours clinic. In the TOC after-hours clinic, she evaluated and treated acute and sub-acute orthopedic injuries. She administered joint injections and relocated minor displaced fractures. Rachel was then hired to open a brand new medical spa, where she earned her CynoSure certification to operate the SculpSure laser.
Rachel loves to spend her free time with her family and friends. She also enjoys camping, backpacking and playing/coaching sports.
