I work in the business department helping patients not only understand their medical benefits but how to obtain the best care utilizing these benefits. Our patients are my top priority but I also help with billing insurance claims, posting payments, sending appeals, and giving my all to the company everyday I am here.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you like to be?
Here. Powell, TN! I am a home body and my family is my world. Unless they uproot me, I will not be moving more than a few miles from “mommy and daddy”!
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with the world?
Life is short, live everyday like it is your last. Cherish your family and don’t judge others until you have walked their walk. You never know how hard they may have it!
What is your favorite holiday and why?
CHRISTMAS! Jesus is the reason for the season! Families join together and celebrate the birth of our Lord. It’s a time off from school and work for families to get together and enjoy each others’ company.
What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
With family of course! -Soccer field, softball games, Dollywood or any other entertainment my kids or husband can think of.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of the office?
I’d love to say I had a list of hobbies for myself but sadly I do not. I do sports with my kids and entertain myself with their hobbies or interests.
List one interesting thing about yourself that others might not know:
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 10 years and we have a beautiful 7 year old daughter and a handsome 3 year old son (pictured above). Also, our patients might not know that I walked into Dr. Chris’ office at age 7 and haven’t left since!
What is something that you are looking forward to?
A dream vacation! I have never been on an extravagant vacation and would love to have that one day.
Shauna is incredibly dedicated to her work and to our company. She has worked very hard to establish good relationships with the insurance providers to make sure that each of you are getting the best coverage possible. Next time you see her in the office please stop and say thank you for her many years of hard work!
