I am a member of our therapy team and I perform doctor-prescribed therapies and education for our patients. I also work twenty hours a week as the Communications Director for the office and work to keep our patients and staff informed about what is going on in the office. I manage our website, office marketing, community relationships, and can be found at health fairs, networking events, and any other public opportunity where I get to share about our company. I always tell people that marketing a GREAT product is fun and easy and we have one of the best products in East Tennessee here at Apple.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you like to be?
There are a great many places that I would love to end up. I am addicted to traveling and can never get enough of different cultures, people and places. However, I could definitely see myself fitting in in Coastal Maine or San Francisco.
What is the one piece of advice you would like to share with the world?
I am a natural born planner. I started making checklists and deadlines before I was in elementary school. However, I feel like all of the best things that have ever happened to me were things that fell in my lap by the grace of God. Let go of the reigns and let God do the heavy lifting. We are always in good hands.
What is your favorite holiday and why?
I love the warmth and ceremony of the holidays but my favorite is probably New Years Eve. I love taking the day to review the year and celebrate the year ahead. I love the possibility of a new year stretched out ahead of me. And I love watching the year roll over with good friends. It is one of the few times in our life that we stop and appreciate time -which is one of the most important gifts we are given in this life.
What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
On an adventure! My husband and I are always in search of something new, something beautiful, something fun. Sometimes we find it on the top of a mountain or in a new city, at the grocery store or thrift store, or in our backyard. It is all about your mindset when you step out the door on a Saturday morning.
What are your hobbies and interest outside of the office?
Traveling (of course), writing short stories, reading, scrapbooking, and singing showtunes and sixties pop obnoxiously loud in the car.
List one interesting thing about yourself that others might not know:
I am slowly learning to play the hammer dulcimer.
What is something that you are looking forward to?
Having a house full of children! I can’t wait for the sticky, loud, crazy, and unpredictable mess that is parenthood. I am a natural nurturer and I can’t wait to have children of my own to share that love with.
