A migraine is a neurological syndrome characterized by altered bodily perceptions, sever headaches, and nausea. Physiologically, the migraine headache is more common to women than men.

Signs and Symptoms: Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and/or sounds, and distorted vision. The cause of the migraine headaches is unknown; however, the most common theory is a disorder of the serotonergic control system. Signs and symptoms vary among patients, therefore, what a patient experiences before, during and after an attack cannot be defined exactly. • Foods containing tyramine, MSG, or nitrates
  • Other foods such as nuts, chocolate, peanut butter, bananas, citrus, dairy, or fermented or pickled foods
